How far can you go for love? Are you willing to sacrifice your own life for the sake of love? Will you still continue to love the person you love even if he or she does not love you anymore because he or she already loves someone new?
This is the story of Reynoso Licayan, 43 years old, an electrician in Antipolo City and Airene Ritas, 39 years old, an overseas Filipino worker (OFW) in Jeddah. They have four children but were not married.
Reynoso went to Raffy Tulfo to ask for his intervention to talk to Airene Ritas, whom he lived with and have four children. Airene claimed that she is no longer in a relationship with Reynoso and that they have already broken up three years ago.
Reynoso complained of Airene’s ballistic attitude and talked about the many times Airene almost stabbed him with a 14-inch kitchen knife. Additionally, he also complained of Airene’s plans of getting married with her new boyfriend.
In a telephone interview with Tulfo, Airene admitted all the allegations of Reynoso. She admitted that she has plans of getting married with another man and she also admitted that she had attacked Reynoso with a kitchen knife several times but Reynoso luckily escaped the attempts of stabbing.
Airene claimed that Reynoso is a gambler and because of this vice, he could not support his children. Allegedly, Reynoso has an irritating attitude of being “bungangero and chismoso” and this had made her tired of him. She reiterated that there is no reconciliation that is going to happen between them.
Airene’s manner of talking and how she responded to Tulfo’s question when he asked her about her ballistic attitude and the possibility that she might display the same attitude to the man she is going to marry proves that she is a bold and fearless woman.
Reynoso, however, still wants Airene back and told Tulfo in a telephone interview that he is willing to sacrifice his life for the love of Airene and for their children to have a solid family. – LMI
