Marrying your loved one is for sure one of the best days of your life. You will prepare the wedding the best way you can to ensure not only you and your spouse but also other people who will celebrate this important day will feel happy and glad in celebrating this memorable event.
Other than the wedding expenses, one of the most exciting parts of a wedding is going to different places for honeymoon. Beaches, safaris, and backpacking in different countries, are some of the most popular ways on how people usually spend their honeymoon.
However, instead of a dream come true, the honeymoon became one of the worst nightmare experienced by German Desaree Caoua and her OFW husband.
Dream Turned Nightmare
According to Caoua, the suspect, Darwin C. Floro, a Kagawad from San Miguel, Manila, owned a travel agency named Flo-Bay Travel and Tours, where they booked their honeymoon to Boracay. Before they go to the country, they already made arrangements and forwarded more than PHP 200,000 for 30 people.
They were scheduled to go to Boracay from December 23 to 26, but when they were already in the airport, Floro cannot be contacted anymore.
Wants Her Money Back
Upon taking to Floro’s Baranggay Chairman, Tulfo asked to get feedback from Floro within 48 hours. However, the victim thinks otherwise. Because of ruining her supposed to be dream honeymoon, Caoua wants to get her money back.
Darwin, you took all my money and all the people that flew over here just to come to the Philippines and have you ruin my honeymoon, you ruined my Christmas. You ruined everybody’s Christmas. They all went empty-handed. So I don’t think we should give you 48 hours. I want the money. I want them to be returned their money. You ruined 30 people’s Christmas and you ruined my honeymoon for norm reasons. So I demand you to give us the money.
After filing a criminal case against the Kagawad and Licensed Teacher, Floro faced the victims and pleaded. He said that he spent the money for an undisclosed reason.
Floro also promised to give PHP100,000 immediately and pay the remaining balance by January 28 to 30 via Western Union in dollars. Desaree was happy to confirm that the Kagawad already paid PHP80,000 and the remaining balance of PHP170,000 will be paid before the end of the month. You may watch the video here:
