Two-bedroom bungalow with a shed roof

If you are looking for a simple design of a one-storey house so you can save on its construction costs, perhaps this design is a good choice for you.

It has a shed roof, which uses simple and easy to install trusses.  With these trusses, you can save costs.  A shed roof is also called skillion, pent roof or mono-pitched roof.   It has a single-sloped roof surface, often not attached to another roof surface. This is in contrast to a dual-pitched roof, also known as a gabled roof, which is pitched in two different directions.

A shed roof is not prone to leaks because it does not have a ridge cap.  It is basically a roof that is installed slanted or leaning. If it is properly installed and the trusses are properly built, this roof is durable and it drains off water easily.

This has has two bedrooms, two bathrooms/toilets, a living room, dining and kitchen and an L-shaped balcony that runs from the front of the house all the way to its left side.  It is also a little elevated, four steps higher than the ground.  Elevated houses are designed for flood-prone places.  A good elevation can prevent the flood water entering your house.
