A single story house does not mean that you will sacrifice on space. A simple, small house design like this contains all the necessary rooms that your family needs, especially if you are just starting out, without breaking the bank.
Often times, some owners distance themselves from small house designs because they think it can has limited space for their liking. But that is not always the case, especially if you choose the correct design.
This house plan for today is a 6.0 meters by 10.0 meter two bedroom home for those who wants enough space for the family, but are on a tight budget. Believe it or not, the whole house will only cost you around 600,000 to 1 Million Pesos.
Looking at the exterior of the house, the combination of cream and white makes this home an eye candy to look at. It features galvanized roofing with tile effect, complete with brick accent walls. The house is also elevated from the ground, which is ideal, especially if you live in a flooding area.
From the porch, the first room that you will see upon entering this small house is the living room area, where the family can rest, watch TV, and enjoy the time together. The living room is also connected directly to the dining area and kitchen, without any partitions. This allows you to maximize the space as walls can make the whole area look too crowded.
Here’s a tip: If you want to separate the recreation area from the eating and cooking areas, you can place an accent chair or a multipurpose bookshelf between the living room and the dining area.
There are also two bedrooms in this small house design: A larger bedroom in front, which can be used as a Master’s Bedroom, and a relatively smaller bedroom for the other occupants of the house. There’s enough space for a full size bed and a built-in cabinet, but if you want to save on space or you simply have a lot of trinkets to store, you can use a bed frame with pull out cabinets at the bottom too.
The common bathroom is also strategically located at the middle of the house, between the two bedrooms. From the kitchen, you can also access the secondary door, which will lead you to the service area at the back that you can use as a washing area or a dirty kitchen.
