Experiencing suffering is not new to people who are working overseas. Being away from their loved ones and not being able to spend special events with them are already considered as a suffering. However, experiencing physical and mental abuse is already a different story.
An Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) from Saudi Arabia was allegedly physically abused by her employer resulting in her feet and spinal cord to break. The sister-in-law of the OFW named as Neleh Asia Elegino posted a video and some photos in her social media account and was asking for help for the OFW who was physically abused by her employer.
The Pinoy worker was identified as Maria Jingge Antipuesto Elejeno and is currently confined to the King Khalid Hospital’s female surgical ward in Room Number 5.

What Happened?
According to her sister-in-law, Elejeno was pushed in the window of their house by her employer, causing a severe damage to her body, particularly to her feet and spinal cord. Although she was rushed to the hospital and underwent immediate surgery, she still needs to undergo further treatments for her broken body parts.
By making the videos and the photos go viral, Neleh hopes that some of the agencies of the Philippine government will be able to see it and help the OFW to go back to her family in the Philippines. They are also hoping that she will get the justice that she deserves, similar to what the other OFW, Lilibeth, had.

Netizens’ Reactions
Netizens were not very happy with the video and showed their anger towards the employer. Some are also hoping for her speedy recovery.
