Whichever part of the world you will go, you may easily find a Filipino community. Filipinos are among the most dedicated workers in the world and our qualities are commended by different people of different races. We can also adapt to different cultures easily and vastly.

One of the reasons why there are a lot of Filipinos scattered in the world is because of the number of Overseas Filipino Workers who seek opportunity abroad. If you will ask them, one of the main reason why they are working abroad is due to the high salary and benefits provided by foreign companies. They can send their siblings and children to better school and live a more comfortable life rather than working domestically.

An OFW in South Korea was dreaming of giving her family a better life when she flew to South Korea to work but her family’s dreams shattered when she fell on a comatose.

What Happened to the OFW in South Korea?

The family of Jane Diclas Botay, is knocking on everyone’s hearts to provide financial assistance and prayers for a miracle for the OFW. According to the Facebook post of FloRhenz Dante Martes, Jane was rushed to the hospital last February 22 because of throwing up and severe headache. However, once she reached the hospital, she immediately fell on a comatose due to ruptured veins in her brain. The extent of the damage is irreparable.

Until now, her family is still praying for a miracle for her to survive. They need funds for her medical needs and possible operations. However, since the chances are slim, a solicitation letter was created by the President of the Cordillera Community Gwangju Chapter, Rene G. Martes, to provide financial assistance and help the family to cover the accumulating hospital bills and for the expenses of bringing her home to the home country, in case she will not make it.
