OFW janitor in Canada became an instant millionaire after winning $7M in the lottery

When luck is on your side, things happen the way you want them no matter how unlikely the situation is! If you can only wish for one magnificent thing to happen to you, what could that be? And, what could be the sweetest luck life can offer you than winning the jackpot in the lottery? Yes, indeed, like what happened to one very lucky overseas Filipino worker (OFW), Vito Halasan, in Canada who is working as a janitor.

Halasan became an instant millionaire when he won $7 million in the 6/49 lotto drawn on April 27 this year.  Halasan’s life turned 360 degrees, so to speak, after winning in the lottery few days after he celebrated his 58th birthday according to a report by British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC).

Halasan lived in Surrey and moved to Canada ten years ago. “I remember scanning my ticket and seeing all these numbers,”  Halasan said. “I have really blurry vision so I had to hold the ticket right up to my face. I couldn’t believe it.”

He called his family who also did not believe that he won and told them the most amazing news ever. It is everyone’s dream to become a millionaire and to win in the lottery jackpot and now Halasan is living that dream.

Halasan stressed that he always bets in the lottery and every time he bets, he hopes and dreams of winning it. He said he keeps betting so he can dream.

“I dream of being able to take care of my kids and make their future better,” he said. “Now we’ll be able to buy a nice house for my children and grandchildren.”

Halas is 58 years old but he has a lot of dreams for himself and for his family.  He never stops betting in the lottery because he believes that one day he will win. This is one of the benefits of keeping a positive outlook in life and not giving up on your dreams.  Just keep on dreaming and work for the achievement of these dreams until one day you can say that you are no longer dreaming of life but living your dreams instead! – LMI
