OFW in Riyadh Accused of Stealing From Employer

Our Overseas Filipino Workers are considered as modern-day heroes. They are sacrificing a lot not only for their families but also for their personal happiness.

However, there are also times when these OFWs experience hard times not only because of the tasks that come with the job that they have to finish but also because of the abuse that they are experiencing from their employers. Some of them are abused physically by their employers while there are also others who were deceived by the people who should be taking care of them.

This is exactly what an OFW in Riyadh is currently facing.

Called a Thief

In a Facebook post by Pinoy OFW Pautwasan, an OFW in Riyadh named Maria Dalisay G. Mamugay was pleading and crying for immediate help because her madame (or current employer) accused her of stealing.

After calling her a thief, all of her possessions, which include her money and cellphone, were collected by the said employer.

Not the First Time

This is not the first time that the OFW in Riyadh experienced such abuse from her employer. According to her, her madame is also not feeding her every day.

The OFW is now asking to be rescued from her current situation because she cannot take the abuse anymore.
