Instead of Helping Her From the Male Employer’s Advances, Female Employer Makes Domestic Helper’s Life Miserable in Saudi Arabia

A domestic helper in Saudi Arabia named Joana Rose Sarte turned to Facebook for help to escape her abusive employers.

Because of the abuse that the Overseas Filipino Worker is experiencing at the hands of her employer, she cannot take it anymore and decided to record a video to ask for help. According to Joana, the problem started when her male employer took advances at her. He kept on asking her to clean the other house.

Lagi po akong inaaya ng amo kong lalake na maglinis daw sa other house nya. Hindi po ako pumapayag kasi baka po mapagalitan ako ng amo kong babae.

The Problem Started

When the male employer asked her to clean the basement, since the OFW is sensing something wrong with her employer’s request, she decided to tell her madame or female employer.

However, the problem gets worse. Her madame quickly shouted at her. Instead of helping her with the problem, the female employer started to get jealous. She lets Joana start with her never-ending chores at the early hours of the day without eating anything. During the evening, her female employer is not cooking anything, resulting in her suppressing her hunger.

No Help From Her Agent

To go back to her family in the Philippines, Joanna decided to ask help from her agent. But the agent did not do anything and suggested her to just endure her sufferings.

Gustung-gusto ko na po umuwi. Nagsabi po ako sa agent ko. Ilang beses na po ako nagsasabi sa kanya. Paulit-ulit po yun sinasabi nya baka nagseselos ang amo kong babae. Sinabihan nya po ako na magtiis lang daw po ako.
