If you will ask a newly graduate, they will tell you that they want to go to another country to work after a few months. After their graduation, they aim to have a job abroad because of the better employment opportunities and bigger salary and benefits.
Due to the greener pasture that most companies overseas are providing, a lot of new graduates are flying to another country to work. By working overseas, they can provide better and brighter futures for their families and provide better for their loved ones.
Although there are many Overseas Filipino Workers who are lucky to find good employers, save enough for their futures, and get investments for their families, there are also others who, unfortunately, are suffering from the hands of their employers. One of them is Norjana Guinang Dianda.

Headache From Severe Abuse
Norjana Guinang Dianda has been working as a domestic helper in Saudi Arabia. Even in just a few months of working as a household help in the family of her employer, the said employer is always abusing her physically.
Due to the severe abuse, she’s suffering from, she is already suffering from a headache. Due to the long list of abuse that she experienced, she can no longer remember everything and had to create a list so she can narrate everything.

Agency’s Response
Norjana tried asking help from her agency. However, instead of talking to her employers, one of the employees of the agency told her to just escape from her employer’s house. Instead of helping her legally, they said that escaping is the best option since it’s hard to talk to the said employer.

Currently, Norjana is still in her employer’s house. Unfortunately, with the abuse that she’s suffering from, we can’t help but wonder: will the agency start to get their acts together if something worse will happen to the poor domestic helper?
