Overseas Filipino Workers are regarded as modern-day heroes. They are risking their lives and are staying away from their family just to put food on the table and send their children and siblings to school. Although some people think of them as a source of money, little do we know how hard it is to live far away from your family.

Jumps From the Window After Stabbing Her Employer

A few hours ago, a Facebook user by the name of Zenlie Upam posted a video and a photo of a Filipino domestic helper in Amman, Jordan, who is dead while lying on the ground. Zenlie is asking for help from fellow Filipinos by sharing the said post until the relatives and friends of the deceased OFW came to know what happened to her.

Based on the comments, the domestic helper was recognized as Adel Atos Degracia who was working at #5 Diet Ghbar area.

According to one of the commentators, the OFW allegedly stabber her female employer inside a restroom while the employer was taking a bath. Many people speculated that after stabbing her employer, she jumped from the window to escape, but made a faulty landing and fell to her death.

A few days ago, Degracia was not feeling well, but her employer forced her to work.

Another Side of the Story

However, another OFW left a comment on the said post saying that she knows the family of the employer and the Pinay worker decided to teach her employer a lesson after not being allowed to go home.

The real story behind the video and photo is still not known. Since investigations are still on-going, hopefully, everything will be cleared.
