Whenever our family member, who is working as an Overseas Filipino Worker, comes home after several years of working in another country, it is considered as a happy reunion for the whole family. Special occasions such as Christmas, New Year, birthdays, and anniversaries will never be complete without the whole family.

Unfortunately, not all Overseas Filipino Workers will come home happy. There is an OFW from the Middle East who will return to the Philippines empty-handed.

A concerned citizen named Aqoh C Dadong shared a video of the OFW from the Middle East, Lilia Mesa. According to him, they were roaming the airport when they met the former domestic helper crying non-stop.

Suffering From Abuse

The former OFW from the Middle East worked for the said employer for 1 year and 4 months before they decided to release her of the contract. However, during his time serving the family, Mesa recalls how she was abused not only by the employers but also their children.

She also revealed that she is getting salary from her employers, but they always borrow the said salary after. If she refuses, they will fight and abuse her.

According to Mesa, she was called a thief and was introduced as one to the security guards of the building where they were residing before. All of her other properties, including the shampoo she bought as pasalubong to her loved ones, were confiscated by her employer.
