There are more and more people who are flying to other countries to provide better life to their families. A lot of our professionals like engineers, nurses, and teachers, and even skilled workers like welders, foremen, and domestic helpers, who are seeking for greener pastures in another country.
Some of them found their success and luck from working in another country. However, there are also some of our Kababayans who are not lucky enough to be on a good and understanding employer.
Hearing and reading sad stories about one of our Overseas Filipino Worker suffering from physical and sexual abuse is not new to us anymore. Nowadays, there are more and more Filipinos who are experiencing sufferings from the hands of their employers.
This is similar to what one of our OFWs in Saudi Arabia is experiencing.

Domestic Helper in Saudi Abused Daily
A concerned OFW shared how Doreen De Laguardia Feolino, a domestic helper in Saudi Arabia, asked for help while they were out walking near the sea. According to the unnamed OFW, who shared the story to Pinoy OFW Pautwasan, Doreen went to them and handed them a piece of paper. The domestic helper is really scared since her hands are trembling and she looks really scared.
To ask her what happened, the OFW took her to the bathroom to talk and to take a video. The domestic helper revealed that her male employer took her to the bathroom and abused her sexually. She already tried calling the Philippine Overseas Labor Offices and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration to ask help. However, their call ended immediately after her employer found out that she’s asking for help.
