Good news for all Overseas Filipino Workers! The iDOLE ID card is now available for application. However, for the meantime, only returning OFWs or those we call the Balik Manggagawa can avail the card.

Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Secretary Silvestre Bello III said that due to the limited number of the iDOLE cards for the first batch and since they will still check the security features of the system, they will first prioritize the returning OFWs. He also explained that the first phase of the implementation could help secure the database and will also help them to identify if there will be further changes needed, given that there are system errors.

How to Get the Card

The process for getting the iDOLE ID card is easy. To apply for it, you need to make an account on DOLE’s website, iDOLE.ph or at One-Stop Online Facility Portal. You need to use your latest and valid Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC) number to log in into their BM online accounts under Balik Manggagawa (BM). The system can only accept OEC numbers with validity date from October 10, 2017 onwards.

STEP 1

Go to www.idole.ph. If you have an account already, just sign if. If you do not have, click “Create an Account.”

STEP 2

Input your Overseas Employment Contract (OEC) Valid Number.

STEP 3

Once you are logged in, click the blue “iDole One Stop Shop” then click “OFW ID card.”

STEP 4

Click the delivery date, pick-up location. You will have a choice to choose the nearest POEA in your area where you can claim your iDOLE ID. If you want to claim it in Manila, you can choose POEA-Ortigas.

STEP 5

Click Proceed. You will see a reference number and your OFW ID. Congratulations! Your OFW ID is now ready for pick-up! You can see the confirmation image like this:

Those are the very simple steps to get your own iDOLE ID. As an Overseas Filipino Worker, this iDOLE ID is a big help since it can fast track all your transactions. All your information from DOLE, POEA, OWWA, and other government agencies are all stored in this ID.

You can also use your OFW ID as a valid government ID or to get the documents that you need when working abroad.
